She was just 26 years old. According to reports, the crash occurred along Interstate 55 southbound near mile marker 246. After the incident, she was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased at 4:14 AM. The Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, and an autopsy is pending.
Born in 2000, Missi grew up in Bourbonnais and was widely known as a vibrant and compassionate young woman whose presence could uplift any room. She recently began working as a Fire Telecommunicator with Metropolitan Alliance of Police Chapter 474, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Even in the early stages of her career, she distinguished herself through her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for others. Her colleagues remember her as someone whose “clicky keyboard” and cheerful voice became a comforting constant during long and often stressful shifts.
